Interim President named

OSU welcomes Dr. James Hess

The OSU/A&M Board of Regents approved the appointment of Dr. James Hess as interim president of Oklahoma State University. A native of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Hess has served the higher education system in Oklahoma for over 43 years, and, in 2023, was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame. Hess most recently served as vice provost for graduate programs at the OSU Center for Health Sciences, where he has exhibited exemplary leadership and vision in various roles going back to 2003.

Schweitzer Fellow educating teenagers on domestic violence Feb 21

Cali Sweazea hopes to curb domestic violence among teenagers through communication and education. Sweazea, a second-year medical student at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation, is a part of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship 2024-25 Tulsa cohort, one of 13 chapters in the United States.
